- Fleeting Moments
A little bit of peace
Good morning friends,
Currently enjoying some quiet time before the hectic day begins. My husband and children are sleeping and I am taking sometime to relax. Later today, we are going to celebrate my son's 4th birthday, and like most mothers, I couldn't sleep thinking about all the things that need to get done. We are doing a simple little get together- but there's still a list of things to do before the party begins.
But then, I couldn't help but think about 4 years ago today. I had just woken up as they brought this little bundle of a baby back into my hospital room (his birthday was yesterday), being terrified as a new mom and unbelievably happy to snuggle with my baby before our family came to see him. I had enjoyed the quiet time that morning too, even if I was anticipating the day ahead.
My baby isn't so much a baby anymore and he has taught me so much in the last 4 years. He is still such a great little snuggler and just crawled into the chair with me, ready to get the day started for his birthday, begging to watch Tom and Jerry with some snuggle time.
This weekend is different for everyone because of the COVID. There may not be as big of events or vacations, but there is still ways to appreciate family time. However you are spending your weekend, may you be surrounded by family, find time to relax, and enjoy every minute because time goes way too fast.
