Gratitude 52

“Those with a grateful mindset tend to see the message in the mess. And even though life may knock them down, the grateful find reasons, if even small ones, to get up.”

Steve Maraboli

How many times have you thought to yourself, "is 2020 over?" Asking for a friend, is 10 times an hour too much? I've said this over again, 2020 is one for the books. Quarantine, shut downs, cancelations, sickness, masks, rescheduling... The list of negatives go on and on and I still have a feeling that we've got more hiccups to come. Cold and flu season is upon us and winter is coming soon- which means snow, ice, cold....

Depressed yet? Let me start again....

2020 is almost over! 12 weeks left of an interesting year, look how much we've overcome? Seriously friends, think about all the GOOD things that have happened to you this year? Example, I bought a new house, started my website, had more time to work on my skills, my list of blessings goes on.

What about you? Even IF you can only say that you've spent more time with your family, that's still a great way to spend a year! Seriously, get a piece of paper and write down all the GOOD that has come to your life the last 40 weeks. Seriously. Do it.

“Being grateful does not mean that everything is necessarily good. It just means that you can accept it as a gift.”

Roy T. Bennett

I haven't been as grateful for this year as I should- weird sentence to think this year right? There are 52 days until Thanksgiving, a time when we generally reflect on all that we are thankful or grateful we are. If you google "what does gratitude mean?" you'll come up with 52 different definitions, 52 ways gratitude is important, countless ways to be grateful and countless discussions about gratitude. I googled, "why gratitude is important?" and the answers ranged anywhere from physical benefits to spiritual benefits and anywhere in between......but the information I found on the internet wasn't as important as when I asked myself, "why is being grateful important to me?" That's what matters- what are you grateful for, and why is it important to you?

Don't wait for the next 52 days to express what you are grateful for, do it now and then let me ask you- is 10 times a day too much?

In case you were wondering- I am so very grateful for you and for you taking your time out of your day to read this and follow my facebook page and website.
