Love like crazy

Just ask him how he made it, he'll tell you faith and sweat

And the heart of a faithful woman, Who never let him forget.

Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I love you

Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense

Never let your prayin' knees get lazy

And love like crazy.

My grandfather taught me 3 things in my life:

1. Color with crayons in circle motions. You'll have better control to stay in the lines and in the end, it will look better than scribbles.

Take pride in what you're doing and take the time to do what is right.

2. Always work hard but pray harder.

My grandfather dropped out of school in the 8th grade and has celebrated 54 years of owning his own business. My grandparents raised 5 children and farmed. Every day wasn’t the easiest, but the life he built and the foundation he laid for our family is incredibly beautiful and worth every hard day. He may not be the most successful man in the world, but he’s a pretty rich man with all the blessings God has given him. He’ll be the first one to tell you to tell you to trust in the Lord and give thanks to him.

3. Never go to bed mad.

This one he gave to me and my husband on our wedding day. I’ve mentioned that we just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary and I swear that he still looks at my Grannie with stars in his eyes. Never let the troubles from the day carry into the next because we are never promised another day.

I don’t know if my grandfather was trying to pass on these lessons, but they are evident in everything he does. He is living proof that if you find what you want in life and you work hard for yourself, God will bless you in more ways than you can ever imagine.

The journey to your dreams might not be easy and some days you may want to give up. KEEP. GOING. Don't give up on your dreams and don't give up on yourself. Maybe your story will be similar to my grandparents. Just maybe your life could be that beautiful too.
