- Fleeting Moments
Y ou are my sunshine, my only sunshine-You make me happy when skies are gray
Some days, it’s easy to allow the seeds of negativity and irritation to take over our hearts and minds. Maybe that coworker isn’t pulling their weight or not doing what they are supposed to do. Maybe your spouse isn’t as patient and understanding as you want them to be, or maybe your child is sick for the millionth time this year. Those gloomy clouds, gusty winds, and cold weather just keep sticking around.
We will go through those days that you feel like you cannot control your vibes. Friends, I GET it. Those days make a simple task feel like having a tooth pulled- agonizing and irritating. I am here to tell you, to buck up. That coworker isn’t doing anything out of the norm and your spouse isn’t (hopefully) intending to get on your bad side. Your kiddos, they just get sick! Trust me, if humans had the power to control the weather the world would NOT be a better place
It’s easy for me today to look back and understand that life isn’t as bad as I thought it was, but in the moment of screaming and crying, I know I was asking for God’s mercy. I can look back now and tell you that I allowed my emotions to get the best of me, but at the moment I didn’t think I had control. But friends, I’m begging you to be better than the weak moment. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, count to 10 (maybe 30) and remind yourself that the bad isn’t permanent. This too shall pass. The sun is there, hiding above the clouds, you just need to find the patience until the world is bright again.
Here’s your sign dear friend, pull up your britches and take back your vibes.
